Yeah people just don't read anymore.
I think the best deal is P1S combo at $699 and A1C at $479.
From my experience with many printers, Bedslingers are proven to be reliable...but enclosed printers are so nice with it being able to stack the ams on top.

Thinking about the p1s combo. Is it better to order from Bambu or Best Buy? They are the same price.

Keep in mind that this company has been locking down its printers and starting to abuse customers by preventing them from using other slicers with their printer and breaking accessories compatibility on purpose to maintain ecosystem control. They may be good printers, but it is starting to feel like a trap.. and I'm an owner of two of them. I would be cautious about buying from them.

They've rolled this out as a "security theatre" update to try to convince people they're not screwing them over .. but all the evidence is pretty damning … they're looking to control everything probably for some sort of monetization down the line. I don't think they're trustworthy at all

Happily, there are a lot of "just works" choices these days.

I cheaped out last year and got a K3 combo. Things keep breaking. They're sending me a new power supply now but I can't even sell it until it's fixed but things keep breaking before I can get around to it. Even when it's working, it's not great. I know some people Ihad good luck but I've suffered. I bought a P1S and you cannot believe the quality difference. Buy once cry once they say, but I don't think you'll be crying once you use it.

I bought mine through Best Buy, which was free shipping and I applied for the credit card and got $105 back in rewards. You just can't beat that.
Kobra 3 combo is awesome for the price but definitely not recommended for beginners. I've owned two of them for a year, one has 2500 hours and the other has like 1800. Never had PSU issues but I've had every jam you could think of and replaced the hot ends more times than I can count. Also replaced torn x and y belts along with a new extruder assembly.

I get great results from them though and you can't beat the price for multicolor printing but yeah they ain't trouble free.

I've never owned a bambu but I've had elegoo, creality, FLSun, Qidi, and anycubic and they have all had problems. I had to replace tool head board and mother board on my k1c, motherboard on my FLSun T1, everything on my enders etc

I just got my Centauri Carbon and it is amazing, don't fall for the hype that bambu labs makes the easiest to use intro 3d printer. The Centauri Carbon is $300 and super easy to use and the prints are excellent.
No AMS yet tho

I get what you're saying, but ensuring the best chance for "just works" that Bambu is known for is to control what the user can do with it. if you start adding things a creator hasn't approved of, you start lowering the chance of it "just working". Sure it might work now or for whatever specific you're doing, but that doesn't mean it always will.

I decided to order directly from Bambu Labs to get the AMS 2 combo. I think the improvements are well worth the $100 premium over the older AMS.

For those who have a Best Buy card, BB has the P1S combo at the same price with 12 months no interest
BB has the older AMS.

The best way I can describe the Bamboo lock down is like Apple VS Microsoft/Android. With Bamboo, you're locked into their ecosystem in terms of customization of specific printing options, using all of their filiment (without modding), and doing things their way through their servers. It's great for beginners or anyone who doesn't want to get too deep into the printer game.

Ugh tempted to get rid of my k1 max or k2plus and get this. Sick and tired of the fiddling around. I just want a consistent first player and to be able to print TPU without a damn headache!

Do it
