It seems to be a refresh of their line which all use a similar (same?) panel. I just bought this from Samsung for a similar price for my parents and they are happy with it. Seems fine for productivity. Have to change input manually to USB-C to get it to display since it came default set to HDMI. Once we did that, one cable plug for the USB hub, display, 90 W power to their laptops.

I've had this for about two years. It's a beautiful monitor, especially for the price. Color is good, connections are many, and the stand is quality.
There are two caveats that you may or may not find helpful.
  1. I was disappointed that my Apple silicon Mac mini can't change the volume on this monitor without a software app. (OS X limitation, not the monitors fault)
  2. I actually use this in 1440p. 4K at this size is overkill, and makes many UI elements too small. Using the clean resolution scaling of 1080p is too big.
Knowing what I know now, I probably would have looked for a 1440p monitor without speakers, which could have saved me a few bucks, or jumped up to a 32" 4K or even an extra wide 2x 1440p monitor (49" double width). That said, I'm happy with this monitor and haven't ever felt it was a bad purchase decision. I've used with hdmi input and usb-c from a Mac mini without any problems. I use eqMac for volume control and do actually use the speakers on the monitor since my 2.1 speakers died—the quality is sufficient for things that are not music or movies, but for those uses I'll just put in my AirPods.

Toms hardware summery:
The Samsung 27-inch S80UA is the most colorful budget 4K monitor we've tested and accurately handles both DCI-P3 and sRGB color. There are cheaper rivals with similar performance, but a USB-C hub helps seal the deal for shoppers seeking more.

I needed an upgraded monitor to record videos on from OBS and this looks to be a great choice.
I am in for one.

Are you sure you're talking about the same monitor? I bought the first version of it around 5 years ago. It's a great monitor, except it lacks speakers. Perhaps the newer models come with them. But I can't find that info on the Amazon page.
