People who complain about poly sportswear are people who don't know how to do laundry.

If your gear is stinky it's because you're caring for it poorly. Get an enzymatic detergent and follow the instructions. Don't use it for everything, especially not wool. We have 3 different laundry "detergents" in our house for the various fabrics.

Now, I get if people are too lazy for all that, or their lifestyle doesn't demand the properties that synthetics provide, but that isn't the fabric's fault

I'm convinced people that complain about polyester in athletic clothing are either 300lbs, live in the Arctic Circle, or grew up in the 1970s.

Fully agree. Didn't realize people hated on lightweight polyester underwear so much until I stumbled upon a SD thread. I am active so these are great for me. Thanks OP, in for 1 set. Hopefully these compare to the Under Armour underwear that are a bit more expensive than this deal

Seems you are taking my post quite personally. If you don't think you were complaining, then it wasn't meant for you.

By the way, microfiber is in the title and it is always made from synthetic fibers. No one was trying to mislead.

I was not taking it personally, haha

I was just elaborating on what I said. The part you mentioned about microfiber is true, but its easy to overlook.

I thought the post was fine -- but I won't buy because of the biggest issue....

"no-gap fly"

I'd just buy the Costco ones if you're okay with no fly opening.

And I'm in the camp that only wants synthetic, not cotton. I'm pretty active and far prefer moisture-wicking fabrics.

Based on the photos, these are for men with enormous balls, but no pecker.

My balls sweat way more with polyester underwear than cotton. It's so uncomfortable for me I would rather go comando than wear a more then 10% polyester blend
Might as well go commando. You'll save on buying and washing underwear.

Who mentioned anything about the smell? People are just mentioning sweating or the health factor.

I don't understand this either. The whole point of switching to synthetic material is because it's SO much better than cotton when it comes to heat/sweat. That's why I switched.

Sweating, down there in particular, isn't closely associated with smelling?

Polyester isn't breathable like cotton is, cotton absorb the moisture into itself and since it's breathable it will dry out. Where as polyester creates a swamp as the moisture sits on your skin and your skin absorbs the moisture instead of the underwear.

IDK, complete opposite in my experience. Cotton, if you sweat even a tiny bit, swamp crotch forever until you take it off because it never dries. Synthetic, moisture is wicked away, staying dry permanently.
