What's the use case for this?

Small bedroom and you don't want both a HDTV & a monitor?
I view this as a confusing product. A bit big as a monitor on a desk. A bit small as a TV. This is effectively a TV with a monitor stand marketted as a monitor .

Due to low brightness, bad latency, low refreshness rate, this is a cheap casual monitor for a non-gamer without a TV. A single rom studio or 1 bedroom kind of use case for a non-gamer who likes to consume media.

If LG can put a better panel, IPS, 400+ nits, displayport, 120 hz, this would be an amazing product.

Can't believe for $160 you only get a 32" 4K monitor. According to these comments, it should be 240hz and OLED.

Gee, I wonder if LG makes other monitors with different specs to you know segment the market.

I agree that on paper this monitor has excellent specs for the money. The fact that it's 32" and 4k for $160 makes it a good deal by default.

I'm still going to have to side with the naysayers as far as actually wanting to buy it. 250 nits is horribly dim and would make this really drab to watch. My 34" gigabyte monitor is 350 nitz and actually tested about 370 in reviews and is still not that bright. HDR is not very great either. This would be much worse.

I would recommend against it but to each their own...

Intriguing ! I never thought to use WebOS to get local channels. I looked up how to link those local channels into WebOS (get the NewsON app). In a pinch, this can be the TV substitute.

Same here. Was getting concerned that they did not ship it yet.

But in the end I wasn't super-excited about (likely) needing to return it.

Anyone hear a reason for cancelation?

Mine shipped Tuesday after ordering on Friday and i am supposed to have it Monday. Amazon has spoiled me, 5 full business days and 2 partials for a delivery seems crazy.

Ordered was placed on friday, shippped on tuesday and got it delivered this morning. Ordered it with 20% CB available at that time. Primary use is for home office.

Setup was easy. Its not very bright but good enough to be used in naturally well lit loft. I do care less about the response time since I will never use it for gaming. But for a home/office use, its a pretty good monitor especially for the price.

Pretty good deal on a 4K smart monitor for $128 with CB. May be I have very low expectations or its a big upgrade from a 24" 1080p which I currently use.

I should've listened to the naysayers. The price was just too tempting. I got 2, hoping they were close to the LG 32UN650K 32" 4K IPS I got last year from Costco for $250, but the washed out colors and black just make it a really poor monitor. I realize now I'm also firmly in the no VA camp. Back they go unfortunately.

At first I was also very disappointed and figured I would be returning it but changed my mind after spending some time tweaking the picture settings and the display settings in Windows (I took advice from ChatGPT but I know there are other free resources out there as well that can provide optimal settings).

Not perfect or course but I'm very happy with it now, especially considering the price and my use case (no gaming, viewing angle not a concern and not using in a particularly bright/sunny space).

Just wanted to mention in case this helps someone else.
