lots of pc postings but no overwhelming + feedback yet on a deal... i'm getting close to updating my PC, been 6 yrs? since the last one I bought, i'm outta the loop on the specs.

Can anyone post the top specs so I can start comparing.. cpu, hardisk, etc.. the whole works.

Looks like a decent deal to me giving the top AMD CPU and great graphics card.

I just purchased the G455 (5070ti, 64 GB RAM, Intel Ultra 7 265k) from them for $1463 (open box). Thoughts on that vs this?

Microcenter in north jersey. Normal open box price was $1563 but it didn't come with a keyboard and power cord (I drove an hour there thinking it would have it) so the manager took $100 off. Should also mention this is from 2 weeks ago when they did 20% all power spec builds

The 9800X3D is currently the best CPU for gaming, while the RTX 5090 leads the GPU market.

For a balance of gaming and heavy workloads, the 9950X3D is the top choice.
If you're not gaming, the standard 9950X is more than sufficient.

Any modern M.2 SSD will be fast enough for 90% of users, though the Crucial T705 is still king, I believe.

For AMD systems, 6000MHz CL30 RAM is the solid, hassle-free recommendation.

PCIe Gen 5.0 motherboards are ideal if going with high end components, but you likely don't need to spend over $250 unless you have very specific requirements.

That's a good deal. Hard to compare since it's open box. The current G455 price is $2299 and I see an open box for $2069. Well done

I saw it was available open box in store for 1563 on the website. U reserve the open box item online, and then drive to the store. When I got to the store all that stuff happened w the discount

I was umming and ahhing about this vs the Alienware deal that's currently out. There was 1 left near me. I just got back with it.
In the end, I just didn't want to wait 2 weeks. Plus the Alienware gets more expensive when you start upgrading it to be comparable (16gb vs 32gb, 1tb vs 2tb). I do wish this one came with 64gb but hey, it's a lot of PC with a 5070ti for under $2k. Part of me wanted to wait for a good 5080 deal.

This is an excellent deal. Practically the same value if built by yourself. Plus the warranty by PowerSpec for the entire system if something goes wrong.

9800x3d is a RYZEN 7, not 9. (RYZEN 7 have fewer cores than 9s)
