nope, No, at that price i will go for a macbook. Ipad can never replace Macbook, at the same time some apps work well only on ipad.

Depends entirely on what screen size works best for you, what you plan on storing on it, how you plan to use it, and how long you expect to have it. 128GB is completely fine for general use, but will fill up quickly if you hoard messages, photos, videos, texts, etc. Of course, the 13 inch, while still easily portable, is quite a difference.

Gave my college bound daughter my MacBook Pro (barely used) and bought one of these instead to replace my Gen 1 iPad Pro.

"Worth?" Yes. Do you need it? Entirely different question. If you're into photography, the larger screen and added storage can be great for offloading photos from an external camera then editing them. If you're a musician, 13" is great but 512 is probably overkill. It's a fair price, just a question of your needs

First iPad? Just get the cheapest base then figure out what your needs are. Don't pay for what you won't use.

holy cow the base iPad is $430! I dont recommend any iPad.
