These things are amazing. I consider my pre-Zoj life to have been a hollow wandering in the wilderness.

French press? Done
Ramen? Done
Sick? Tea takes literally zero time. Go back to bed and sip your honey and lemon juice.
Soft boiled eggs? Bam

Fantastic machine

What advantage does this have over an electric kettle that takes a couple minutes to boil water?

Can you please share a link to a vacuum insulated one? I've checked a few different versions but they all seem to have the same product descriptions

Brown??? Mine develops a white hazy mineral buildup that I remove with a vinegar soak.

I'm in 4 1. we had a Honeywell before that lasted about a year or so. it was great, but the dispenser stopped working and we got a refund. hopefully the fine Japanese engineering of the Zojirushi will make this worth the extra cost.
