Lots of them in my area, Most likely display models that are being replaced with the S90F, probably have a lot of power on hours

They will only ship "excellent" grade, as they are complete in original packaging

I got my 77 S90C at like $1400 open box in past & I thought that was a deal.. This is an absolute steal if in good shape.

If buying, do yourself a favor & buy 5yrs of GeekSquad protection. Covers burn-in.

There is no 85 OLED, you mean 83?

Makes sense. At 15hrs a day for a year that's less than 6k hours. Nothing for these panels. I'd be more worried about burn in of course. I picked up an open box 65" s90d from a local outlet recently for $500. It had 6k hours but zero burn in or retention. A couple smudges on the screen but for a back porch it's it's amazing.
How did you get it for $500? Spill the beans

It's a local liquidation store that for some reason has had a run of carrying TVs the past several weeks.

Unless you live in Northeast FL you're out of luck unfortunately.

They also had a BRAND NEW still sealed 65" c4 that I picked up last week, also $500.

Nothing is replacing my Sony 85" X95K in the main room. Although man, the S90D really pops.... I'd entertain a 83" QD-oled with this color volume at $2k or less.

I'm in the same boat! x95k 85" still impresses me nearly 2 years later! I have c3 in bedroom and it's always such a let down from the Sony!

I have purchased an open box (ie - store display) Best Buy big screen before... yeah it was cheap but I had nothing but problems with it. Has technology improved since then? Sure, but I'm not buying a display OLED unit, no thanks

Not worth it imo. I've bought two display tvs, one OLED Sony and one mini led Hisense and both didn't last more than two years (I got GS protection thankfully). Highly recommend going in store and seeing if it has the box bc those are most likely returns and will be like new.

I've got 3 OLEDs now that have been great that were all customer returns

I bought my 77 S90D in December 2024. Yesterday the TV stopped working with less than 2 hours per day max watching. Wont power on since yesterday. Very disappointed. My 2022 LG G series OLED still going strong. My non-OLED Samsungs going strong

Be warned! Last time I went to pick up open box excellent condition oled tv, I found them in bubble wrapped, no remote, stand and when asked, they confirmed it was a floor model. Yes, that's open box excellent for these crooks!

I went to look at one of these today and it was boxed in the store with a note of "scratch and residue". It was taped/strapped and they told me I would need to buy it to be able to look at it out of the box so I didnt bother.

The guy did mention its possible or likely it was the display model in which case it wouldn't be a great deal especially considering a good amount of reviews mention these dying randomly.
good thing you didnt waste your time. my 48" said residue on the tag. residue is bb way of saying tv has burn in.

Unfortunately this is a rampant problem with the 77". Why only the 77", who knows.
