Top loader with gas dryer - due to space and electrical system constraints.
If you can swing it (and if the size works out), get a Speed queen; its expensive though. However, you could pair a speed queen top load with a cheapo, no fancy Amana/Maytag dryer, you could get them for $2K. Otherwise, LG with agitator (not impeller) appears to be the best bet based on Consumer reports and other reviews.

Do you own LG kitchen appliances? They're at the top of Consumer Reports lists, so I'm interested to hear about your experience with them.
The compressors on their fridges get dinged frequently

I notice these always run side by side with HomeDepot deals. I don't think Costco includes install/haul away, some HomeDepot deals do. Generally the same prices... what does everyone else think, is Costco better or just depends?

correct regarding single items that drop in price. i have done the single item costco.com request thru their webiste. this ask was about a "mulitple item or multiple items above a certain $" promotional discount. But anyways, I app chatted with CS and they applied the current promotional discount OP posted to my order I made a week ago.
It works for multiple items as well. I did it twice.

And, includes Basic Installation Parts; extended warranty by 1 yr; and if you have exec membership, 2% additional cash rewards. There is no comparison with HD/Lowes unless there is a significant price gap.

Yes, consumer reports does list them on top for Refrigerators; even though they score average on customer satisfaction they still end up on top based on features and test scores but everybody is poor in the customer satisfaction as well (other than Bosch and Fisher/Paykel). However, they get frequently dinged for their compressors and customer (no) service; they had a lawsuit for their linear compressors back in 2014-2016. It appears they have moved away from Linear compressors but some models still have them. Its hard to figure which ones have and which ones don't. According to Yale appliances, they have the lowest repair calls which contradicts the general perception about LG refrigerators.

Anyone know if Costco would price adjust the "appliances promotion" into an order if you bought the appliances just 2 weeks ago?
They should

I don't see adding Samsung appliances into the cart giving all 3 promotions. Here's what I have in my cart:

Samsung 7.2 cu. ft. Capacity ELECTRIC Dryer with Sensor Dry (Item 1813394) -- $629
Samsung 4.4 cu. ft. Top Load Washer with ActiveWave Agitator and Soft-Close Lid (Item 1813392) -- $629
Samsung 22 cu. ft. Counter Depth Side by Side Refrigerator (Item 1399059) --- $1349

Subtotal - $2,609.97
Discount - $600

If all 3 promotions are stacked then discount should be 500 + 300 + 250 = 1050

What's the catch here that's missing?

Don't think there is a catch (unless Costco comes up with a weird explanation). I agree that the total discount should be $1050; The spend and save discount thing appears to be missing for your cart. Looks like the promotion is taken when adding the product to the cart, and is not re-evaluated for the full cart. Since each of the item (even W/D taken together) is missing the spend and save promotion tier, it isn't re-evaluating the spend and save tier when the total cart of eligible appliances meets that limit. Have you reached out to them via chat or call?

no, I have not. It appears that their stackable discounts have some catch.... I'm trying to buy some appliances for my rental property and it appears that discounts do get applied in some combinations but not all. The options I like the most don't get all discounts reflected. Spent almost 2 hours this morning and left frustrated. I just showed an example, but I have got several more I ran into and it appeared that cart did not reflect correct discount as Costco advertised.

I would say, try them. Each of the items says they are eligible. Of course, Costco would have an explanation but I'm guessing its a system glitch.

If I buy 4 items and return 1, how do they calculate the refund?Basically I only need 3 items, but I could add a 4th one for almost free.

From what I know, Costco cancellations are per "order", not individual items on the order; so you would have to cancel all the four items; if you order them as four separate orders, you maybe able to cancel the one item.

I did chat with a rep and explained the situation. I was told to place an order and call Costco to get $200 credit after the order is delivered.

Is Costco really good at honoring what their chat rep says? I never had a situation like this in the past so not sure if it's worth going by chat rep's words. I was given a reference number for the chat. Thoughts?
