For a "Core™ Ultra 5 226V" with 16GB ram and 1TB SSD is quite decent.
(Dell XPS 13 with "Core™ Ultra 5 226V" goes for $1200)
I know that many will complain about the screen, but on a 14" there is no need for a 2K nor OLED. (Just kids want it... professionals don't need is as this rez suffice...)

it's really hard to reveal that but this specific model was going for $450 and people don't like it even for that price. Ultra 226v is slow as hell and significantly dropped in price. It's on par with a old i3-1220p. Just let you feel the performance. In fact, it even feels slower than the 1220p. The battery life is also a joke. It's better than othe Intel but NIGHT AND DAY difference than the Apples. Probably that's already the limit of windows but just to let you know, as we have more than 100 laptops and actively use and collect experience from all of them.

We deeply regret the 10 vivobook s14 we purchased when it was $450 and have been selling them for a while. Lunar Lake is a crap chip that intel make to make the battery life to look good on papers. They use extreme strategy to make the number looks better in sacrifice of any performance. An Ultra 9 228v is almost the same performance as a freaking ultra 3 225u. How stupid that is?

Go AMD or go snapdragon. Thats it.

Your conclusion is to go AMD or Snapdragon? I now see that you have no idea what you are talking about.
Based on your logic, there are no Intel based laptop that is usable. What a joke....

If you want to look at his post/comment history, that guy is literally an all or nothing thinker. Any laptop that doesn't meet his personal preferences and standards such as Apple Silicon, Haptic Trackpad, 500+ Nits brightness is instant trash for him. He doesn't have a line to draw when it comes to price segments, for example he will complain how a $500 laptop using a dive board trackpad and not a haptic trackpad which come in premium category laptops. I would advise against taking his advice when it comes to purchasing a PC because it's skewed with personal bias with lack of perception for market segment (high-end, low-end). Again, not dissing the fellow, just go thru the post history.

Oh, I see. Thanks and interesting opinion.
However, we all need to use AI at some point.
