Reading some of the comments, I get a sense that many don't know the best way to use a waist fan. I actually didn't either and used to assume that this was a silly device. But, once I learned the best way to use this, I like it a lot. I have one, and I bought another for my friend (a different model). What you want to do is, you clip it to your belt "under your shirt" and clip your shirt's skirt on the outer clip, which creates a dorm/balloon in a sense, then the fan creates a really nice breeze circulating inside your shirt, keeping your body cool. It feels quite nice actually.

That way has me considering this. Definitely worth a shot. If not, then an easy enough return.

Got mine yesterday and tested it out.
You don't really feel any cooling until you start sweating, so keep that in mind.
I first tried to attach to my belt at my back but it kept becoming untucked from my shirt and then, when I straightened up, my shirt would block the intake. I moved it to the front and a similar thing happened that once I bent over it would block the intake and just kind of got in the way.
I then attached the neck strap and think that will be the best, but I'll be testing that out more this weekend.

my issue was it blocking the intake also. it's a weird design. maybe it's user error on my end.
seems like you can only use it with a belt? not regular shorts which is what i'm usually in.

I wear it using the neck strap and I've found this to be the most versatile way to position it but you can also get it clipped so your shirt gets blown and filled up from it on the inside. I figured this thing is able to be used as a fan even if its not on you like clipped to a chair so that's why I opted for these instead of the neck ones, plus less noise right in your ear. Does pretty good but I mainly use it on the highest setting, the one I have does good battery wise.

Mine just came, wish i had got two. I just did some yardwork with it on my right side, and that side was distinctly cooler and less sweaty. Its 95F today so it was a legit test. It didn't keep me cool, but it did keep me cooler. It's kinda heavy though, I dunno maybe wearing one on the left and right blowing under my arms would be too much, but in theory it seems good. I am a very sweaty dude. Gave up caffeine and everything, still sweaty. It does help. $15 was probably the right price. At the very least its a pretty big battery to charge my phone while playing pokemon go at the park.

yeah, it works and is actually painfully bright to look at. I know because i had a hard time getting it to turn off. instead it goes bananas blinking blue and red or getting super bright. then it turned off.

edit: im stumped, what word again?

As a buyer of the $9 one from DiveBlues, this is bulky though it has a few use-cases that the handhelds can't compete with. If I am hot, my head and neck area is where I want to cool off first, not the back.

I have a couple of waist fans from a different brand and I like them. I can have them set to level 7 and they still have 50% charge after a four hour dog walk down the trail. I carry a couple water bottles so the straps block some airflow, but I still quickly notice a difference if I pull the back of my shirt out from the clip. The bad thing is that the fans suck up a lot up bugs, chops them up, and sprays their parts all over my torso.
