I bought this like a month ago. Still have 60% batteries it being on and off all day since I installed it in dark hallway and bathroom.
People who use this for night time only, I would expect the battery to last 3 months or more.

I ordered a similar item from Amazon. It spontaneously exploded one day and nearly caught my house on fire 🔥. Just FYI. Read the reviews and prepare for the worst possible situation for these battery enabled devices.

You bought this exact model? If so, that's good to know.

These products are notoriously horrible with battery life.

I have a few different models of these, and like 75% of them are garbage battery life that needs recharging every couple of weeks with very minor use. I'm curious to next try the models with the removable battery pack. That seems like the next best logical solution.

Then buy something that you can plug in and move on from this thread

Of note: The 16" size 2 pack has 3000mah battery, 83 LEDs and costs $10 per unit.

Same as me. I was standing by it when it was charging. Scared heck out of me.

My mistake. I bought the same kind of light, a different brand. I bought four of these:

These are crap. these arent 50% off, they are barely worth $10, they die within a 6 month period. This site keeps every rebrand of this crap product in business.

I know because I too was duped, 'oh for the price these are great', they arent. If you want something like this, get a quality one. I bought something like this from costco 6+ years ago and it still works to date.

i tried and returned similar for reasons, but one thing the instructions said is that the motion sensor enabled will increase the recharging frequency. so if you can use a design like this and manually on:off it each time, this will greatly extend the time needed between recharges.

You could probably just run a USB charger to it permanently. You won't even need an electrician cause it's low voltage.
