That said, Z8 as a full frame pro camera has similar DR to this above iso 100.
I don't follow? Can you break it down clearly. Is it worth getting or something else for less that's similar? That's what I taking from this
I have had a Sony a5100 for several years. (Numbers of these might be off a little, been a while since I paid attention) Have the kit 16-50, 55-210, Sony 50mm prime, and Sigma 30mm. I need a battery, not expensive.
Is this or something close "better". Wouldn't mind a video upgrade. Any adapters for my lenses to fit? Thanks.

Honestly, plug what you have and what you're considering into chatgpt, noting your main use cases (photo / video, subject of choice).

I know virtually nothing about cameras and camera bodies, even though I have an eBay alert constantly notifying me about lenses for a camera -- my partner's, as they're the camera person, and I try to be the gift buyer, hahaha!
They have had and loved a Nikon D5600 for years now.
Some quick Googling tells me this would be an upgrade in various ways but it seems... It would be incompatible with all of their gear (mounts, lenses) and it has a lower megapixel count?
Would it still be worth the change?
Thank you!
Disclaimer: I don't know how good it is on this lens, but it's there.
Personally, for those who are unsure or who are jumping into this blindly, do some research on what you want and what you need first.
Well if you go through checkout process you can see shipping is free for this one
