Amazon has no say on the warranty terms. That's up to the manufacturer.
I think that's highly likely.
If it dies AFTER that, then yeah. You're dealing with Orico's warranty/return program, which speaking from experience… oof.

Who would buy SATA drive nowadays where most MB have NVME port?
Second tier stuff cuts corners this way, team group sata CX sometimes omits temperature entirely.
Lexar ns100 is missing % in its write life
Orico j-10 nvme series is named correctly.
Orico J-20 nvme is not, but so what.
Do a full write to test the drive before using it for burn in.
Guy either got a fake or was unlucky. There's no magic here, all these second tier drives are thrown together from commodity parts.

I also assume, people that buy this type of drive are looking for semi-fast, but puts emphasis on larger storage amount and low price.
Not saying you don't, or that it's wrong. Many don't and many just use it for archiving photos or videos. Which is probably fine on waiting for a mechanical drive to spin up.

Second SATA drives do have their place, they're useful in the NAS market, lower power, lower temperature, lower noise, and much faster access of information even with a SATA interface.
Lastly, SATA doesn't take up precious PCIe lanes, now for most people this isn't a problem at all. But depending on the CPU you will often have either 20 or 24 lanes (I think Intel's latest has 20 and Ryzen cpus have 24, or vice versa). So that graphics card you use, that's taking up 16 of those lanes by itself, your m.2 SSD, that's taking up 4 as well. And if that's all you have, you're golden, but if you want more m.2 drives they're not going to be as fast usually and that's because they share lanes, I think my MB has 4 spots for m.2s but only the first m.2 can run at maximum speed, others either disable PCIe slots I have (which for me isn't a problem) or they share the total lanes, so you get half speed (or -1 gen speed)
