My veterinarian won't fill the prescription for me because they have their own online pharmacy but the price is 60% more pretty sad I can't save money

I bought Nexgard Chewables For Extra Large Dogs 60.1-120 Lbs (Red) 136mg 6 Chews 2 packs for $139 shipping with tracking from canadavetexpress without prescription. You have to let them know not to send near expiry product to be safe

FYI they only fax vets to get your pet's prescription. So if your vet doesn't have a fax machine and communicates via email, you need to get the prescription in advance and upload it with your order.

Also, PetMeds support chat is NOT open when they say it will be (during their business hours). I've tried several times throughout the day and keep getting "We'll be back online soon!" Maybe they only due chat via fax as well.

Annnnnd now their chat has been down for over 24 hours. Meaning if your vet isn't stuck in the 90s with a fax machine, you would have to sit on hold for over an hour and never connect if you wanted to try to email the prescription in or share it via chat (sending the email directly to them bounces back). It looks like another example of "good price, but God help you if you need it because the company won't!"

This is about as cheap as it gets
I was about to ask... did Martin Shkreli take over this company & jack prescription drug prices?

I was able to add coupon in cart. I didn't even have to input it in. There was a box for the 50% coupon at bottom of my cart. Coupon worked for me. It is 11:30 EST 7/2/25 at the moment of writing this.

This worked for me and saved me about $150. I will say that PetMeds made multiple goofs.

For some reason they tried to fill a prescription for a different weight class of dog, which thankfully my vet caught. Then PetMeds only started to fill one of the two prescriptions I purchased, which thankfully my vet & I caught together.

Overall my vet handled the conversation on both issues so I didn't have to talk to PetMeds myself, and I got the correct products in the mail quickly enough. My vet did ask why I was getting "another 12 months" of one of the meds after having just filled one for 6 months recently, so I told them point blank that "it's a great price, it's a medicine we'll need long term" and they agreed. Expiration for all meds I got is mid 2027, they'll definitely be used by then.

Those are great deal, but the problem is what are the prices when there's no longer a deal?
