Drying being the top answer as well the most "costly" answer is for a reason...

PETG should print fine with any printer. Did you dry the filament prior to printing? Petg generally needs to be dried prior to printing with it.

Yes, because Elegoo is the one selling it through Amazon.
Also, Amazon is selling a 3-year protection plan on the PAHT-CF. Does that mean if I print something and it breaks, I can get Amazon to replace the filament?

I was going to use this on my a1 mini with a hardened steel nozzle. Am I going to royal mess mine up? Smilie

I've had the same issues and tried every trick in the book to improve adhesion. Drying it is the last most time consuming step I haven't tried yet but I'm about to get there it's been so frustrating
This is the one step that every manufactory recommend for almost every type of filament...
Another thing to pay attention to is type of plate. Wash it periodically and perhaps use isopropyl alcohol to clean up any fingerprints or soap residue.

Probably shelf life of the filament, not printed parts.

This isn't true, you need a hardened steel 0.6mm nozzle to print PETG-CF.

I mentioned PETG not PETG-CF in response to the person who wrote they were having trouble printing with standard PETG. Also, even with petg-cf, you can print with a 0.4mm nozzle, but it increases the risk of a clog. Many people in the forums say they print with 0.4mm persistently without issues, but I can't base that on personal usage. Hardened steel nozzle is a must. I personally haven't printed with it before, but ordered it now.

You should be fine with the PETG-CF/GF on a hardened nozzle, though as another user mentioned there's a slightly higher chance of clogging on a 0.4mm. Oh, and I'm pretty sure you don't want to run these through the AMS Lite. Steer clear of the PAHT altogether, you need an enclosure for that. Happy printing!

Good call! I'll run a .6mm hardened nozzle I got in the pack and feed it without the AMS. Thanks for the tips!

Wow these aren't even on discount?
Agree. The site doesn't indicate there is any discount and PETG-CF on Amazon can be found at the same price or maybe $1 more.

Seems like competitive pricing to me fiber filled filament costs more 🤷
Competitive is not discounted

I'm not sarcastic I think they're great prices
Price is very average and normal, great would be $10-12, discounted would be $15

How does PETG-CF print? I've had a good deal of spaghetti failures on my X1C with normal PETG. So much so that I've started printing with ABS when I need strength parts (eg pegboard hooks) and it's printed so much easier.
In addition to drying the PETG, try using a print bed that hasn't been touched by PLA. They're chemically incompatible (in fact you can use each as a support interface layer for the other for zero gap supports). I had tons of issues with PETG bed adhesion (and then PLA adhesion) until I dedicated one side of my textured plate to PETG and the other to PLA. I recommend a wash with dish soap between those two filament types if you're using the same plate for both. I also recommend upping the bed temp 5-10C from the defaults (at least that's what I did for my P1S), especially if you print with the door open and top off to get better overhang performance.

Yup, always dry all my filament. I also live in an extremely dry climate.
I do a lot of printing with various printers. I could not get good bed adhesion with the X1C and PETG using the stock bed. I bought another off AliExpress and had even worse luck. X1C also doesn't print quite as fine detail as my Raise3d, but the difference is slight. The Raise3d came with a BuildTak surface, which I actually dislike most of the time, but it adheres better except I couldn't get large PETG prints to release. I ended up buying a generic smooth PEI off AliExpress for larger prints. I actually printed my house numbers out of PETG. 5 inch x 11 inch embossed white lettering on a black plate.

EDIT: I clean with IPA between prints. Helps a little. Maybe my O.G. X1C plate is just too used at this point...

PETG is my go to, way easier to print vs ABS in my honest opinion. Just have to keep it dry and it's marvelous and far less toxic plus no need for heated chamber. Quidi Q1 printer.
