Just got mine and the screen had a large crack under the glass on the front. You only have 2 days to return via their crap policy

This is undoubtedly better. OLED panels are better than QLED panels across all parameters, so I would recommend going for this over the TCL even with the smaller size; you're not going to feel the difference in size over the significantly better quality of the image

Yes. Low end tcl qled vs an oled. No contest.

No it doesn't. Here it is compared to the B4.

https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/c...9540/74026

The B2 is an older model and on Rtings old rating system which rated TV's higher than the new system. The B4 is significantly better than the B2 and this Panasonic ties the B4 in overall score. It is likely the same exact panel.

Seems a fairly solid deal. RTINGS does mention that it isn't a great choice for bright rooms, can't overcome reflection as it doesn't get bright enough.
This is true for basically all OLEDs, they are meant to be watched in a darker room for their full effect.

The G series does get pretty bright though and would do pretty well.

That's incorrect. This outperforms the B2. You must be looking at the different methodology testings on RTINGS between the 2.

At this price, I am so tempted to get this TV even w/ the horrible UI of FireOS based on the features it currently has.

Is this TV wall mountable? I know it's Vesa but the bottom seems thicker than the top, any foreseeable issue?

Seems decent. I've been looking between the Samsung S90D and LG C4 OLED. I'm looking to jump into my 1st OLED after having a pretty good TCL Q750G for the last year or so. I don't really want to spend the $1200 or so those others are going for and around $800 is my sweet spot for price. Rtings gives it an 8.5 for gaming which is mainly what I'll be using it for. Any significant difference between those other 2 and this, other than a $400+ price difference?! I absolutely despise the Google TV stuff on my TCL and never used the Fire TV platform. I'm close to biting on this... Good first OLED?

I'm right there too. Is fire TV that bad? Worse than Google TV?! 🤔

Eh, as long as it has the ability to power-on to a specific hdmi input, get a 4K ONN or AppleTV and that problem is solved.

I've got the Philips 65" Roku OLED sitting in the box I bought for $719 clearance, that I'm still debating on and if I decide to keep it, that's immediately what I'm going to do.

No this is false. QLEDs can get much brighter than OLED.

I got two of those. I've installed one, waiting on the rtngs review to finish to decide what to do w the other.

Tbh the Philips is quite good. Comparing it against my lg c1, the brightness and colors are maybe slightly better. The Roku OS is better than WebOS. The built in speakers are surprisingly good, although I have it hooked up to a soundbar.

Where the Philips falls down is I think in the processing. If you pull up one of the hdr 4k animal videos, the c1 renders fur in a better way. The Philips fur looks more choppy. Also, the WiFi isn't as good in the Philips, if that matters to you.

Overall it seems like a cross grade from the c1 rather than an upgrade. I'm not sure if I should have waited on a c4 deal. 🤷 ♂️
