Is this any good? Some reviews says it breaks in a short period of time or speakers/lights work on just one side. Anyone has experience with it?

I've been a gamer my whole life, and I still don't get the need to put lights on things I'm not going to look at or might even find distracting. My eyes are on the screen and occasionally the keyboard so I have a high-end monitor, GPU, and keyboard. In my mind, all the other lights are a waste of electricity.

I recommend considering bias lighting [wikipedia.org] behind your display. It's not to be flashy or show personality. It's just meant to reduce eye strain by avoiding the stark contrast between a bright, illuminated display and a dark room. An inexpensive LED strip adhered to the rear perimeter of your monitor can suffice.

Do you have any good recommendations?

I've had Govee LED lights on the back of my tv for years now and it really is helpful when playing games. It makes the lighting transition from the screen to the surroundings smoother, if that makes sense. And they're pretty low wattage, work with smart home (so I have them go on/off automatically) and do look pretty cool.

I'll look into that. Sounds like exactly what I need. Thanks!
