I try to inform the Meta 3/S posts when I can with helpful information below.

If you don't like the "free" games of the month you can hold off activating Meta+ for 3 months.

Games claimed for "free" through the subscription are only accessible with an active subscription.

$30 credit for those that use a friend link prior to device setup (it's a ban-able offense on SD to post/request such links but check Reddit)

ALL SALES ARE TARGETED meaning they could offer 50% off to one account and no sale for another.

When buying games check for developer links to save a flat 15-20% when no active sale on the game.

You're going to want a better strap and there's 2 or 3 great options for under $100. Some have hot swap batteries. (Globular, BoboVR, Kiwi)

If you have glasses or astigmatism there are snap on prescription lenses for $20 on sites or $50 direct from Meta.

The max credit you can attain per year is $599 (anything $600+ is taxable)

The 4th gen headset is expected 2026/2027

There's free 3rd party software like OcularMigraine that improves visuals at the cost of battery life. There are some paid like Quest Games Optimizer but they may need invasive permissions.

The games with PCVR need the Meta app for PC and many others recommend Virtual Desktop when on sale.

You do not need to link FB/IG to your account can use a normal email account.

If you mess up the $30 link you have 7 days to click a $30 link and factory reset your headset and go through initial setup to get it. Otherwise you need a good bit of personal info from the other person for support to process it. Sometimes there's a promo for $60 credit so check the app.

I'm sure there is info I forgot like there's no crossbuy and if you see it that means it gives you a Meta PC copy you need the app to play.

360 videos through the YouTube app are not true 4K and should be downloaded to view uncompressed.

Rechargeable batteries for the controllers are a must as they take 1 AA each.

Activate 2 factor authentication and set a pin for purchases to minimize accidents. There is a small return window for purchases but YMMV with support.

Those with GeForceNow can use it with the headset but the experience is not amazing yet.

Do NOT expose headset or lenses to direct or reflected sunlight (use a cover)

If you owned a Quest2 and purchase a Quest3 you may still be able to get the $30 activation credit.

Do NOT leave the headset charging for hours unsupervised or with 3rd party plugs/cables

Always read reviews as Most Recent and check online for in depth reviews.

I've accidentally punched my headset during a vr workout and thankfully it was fine but mind your surroundings.

Meta+ is not needed to use the headset.

Only use a dry microfiber cloth to clean your lenses or risk removing the anti glare coating.

Batman game extended through December 2026.

I own a Quest3.

I guess I'll wait a bit. I'm sure more deals will drop since these are starting to get older.

Can you fix the title? Price is a lie. It's $500.

quest 3 seems great. But I'm not making the best use of the quest 2. Eleven tennis is my go to game and I almost never feel like anything else. Idk if things would feel different with the 3, but not worth the money yet just to find out.

So it's not $450, it's $499 and you get a gift card. There's a difference.

Seriously. By that logic why aren't we discounting another $24 for the free 3 months of Meta Horizon.

Can I call best buy if I got my quest 3 3 weeks ago but they weren't running the 50 gift card deal to see if I can get it?

I'm in the market for one. Just curious, what are your thoughts on the Xbox version of the Quest 3 that just came out? I have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and have had it for years. Use it all the time on PC and my console with my kids. Thought it might be worth getting that version if it has a good amount of storage.
