I double checked and the batteries are 9AH at 20v but when used at 60v they are 3AH. So my post is correct, they are what everyone refers to as 9 AH flex volt batteries.

Interesting fine print:;Costco's guarantee applies, even though this item may not be covered by the manufacturer's warranty, because Costco is not an "authorized" dealer of the merchandise."

BS......

(2) Flexvolt 60V 3Ah Batteries, Charger & Case
you're not very bright. i'm guessing you went to school in the sticks where they don't teach basic science?

the batteries work at 20V and 60V, and the capacity will change depending on the voltage of the output. they are both 9ah AND 3Ah

also of note; this is a "top handle" chainsaw, which are generally used by professionals while in the tree. They are slightly less safe to use because on a top handle the right hand holding the top handle is closer to the left hand holding the front hand bar, as opposed to a regular chainsaw the right hand is further back behind the chainsaw so the two hands holding the chainsaw are further apart giving you better leverage against kickback if it occurs.

Costco is selling a Dewalt 60v 14" chainsaw with (2) 9Ah flexvolt batteries and charger for $399.99 (normally $499.99). Reviews seem solid. Two of these batteries alone will run you over $300 in other retail stores.

This is a true slick deal. At $400, cost is half that of other retailers (HD, Ace). Costco's return policy allows you to return this item at any time. Lastly, at least for me, it gets me into the 60v tool realm. I'm in for one.
