On the medium setting, about 6 hours. Perfect for outdoors when you want to maximize the battery life but still stay cool.
On the high setting, about 3+ hours. I always figure, if I need it on high long enough to run the battery down, I really need to get inside anyways.
This is using the standard 4Ah battery.

Power outage to cool down bedrooms. 4ah batteries on low make it through the night.
Use them when doing engine work, either hang from the hood or set it right on the block.
Camping to cool the tent at night. Again, 4ah battery on low or maybe medium made it through the night.
I'm happy with mine
We had the fan in our kids' bedroom during the recent heat wave. We were getting ready for bed and were astonished that the fan was still on, after having turned it on at bedtime the night before. It died before they fell asleep, so I just switched out the batteries and did the same thing. Same result. I wish it were a bit more adjustable but the longevity and speed are definitely high quality.
Edit: I also use to keep the smoke from going toward the house when grilling.
