its performance is comparable to RTX 4060 (at 100W version - not sure if this is the 100W version). so it fits that price range; not a "slick deal".

What i mean is entry level gaming laptops are spoiling to get over $1k at retail when they should be $600 tops ..

I actually ordered this last week when it popped up on here. I went to go pick it up and they said they couldn't legally sell it until yesterday the 24th due to an embargo and wasn't sure how I was even able to order it. For my trouble they let me get the HP with the Ryzen 7 AI and 5060 for the same price as this. I'm definitely not mad about it.

5050 is Nvidia's useless waste of sand... Do not buy it under any circumstances.

How does the 5050 compare to the 4060?
  • If it's not at least equivalent, this is a bad deal.
  • If it is roughly equivalent, then it's barely average.
  • if it's better, then it's an okay price.
