They're nice if you keep them covered or move them indoors when not in use. Otherwise, wicker simply doesn't last when left outside without maintenance.
I gave up on all outdoor furniture materials that aren't polywood/HDPE. They don't look as nice, but it's so nice to be about to leave them outside without a care in the world if it's raining or triple digit heat. Spray them down and they look brand new after being outside for years

Facing the same dilemma now & want to get something that doesn't bother me down the line. Lots of sun where I'm at too.

I got the name brand of Plywood adirondack. It was a good deal at about $90 each. I would've bought off brand HDPE if there was a deal for it. Not the same style of furniture, as this deal, but it's been headache free and looks brand new after being outside year round for about 3 years. Fwiw, I live in high humidity and a lot of fog. I had metal furniture that rusted in a few days.
