This or the lg c4?
It's only a tough decision if you can find a C4 for this price of $799. Otherwise, it's a no brainer if there's a price difference.

I ordered mine on July 4th and it came in yesterday afternoon via Fedex. Box was in decent condition and hadn't been penetrated (hehe) by anything. Got unboxed and setup tonight. I paired it with an ONN 4K tv, the picture is absolutely gorgeous and I haven't seen blacks this black since my old Pioneer Kuro. The sound is incredible for built-in speakers with some actual punch from bass tones. Setup sucked but that's because FireTV is an abomination and complete cluster fark compared to Google TV or Apple. Once it powered on, it looked for updates and installed them which took 15 minutes. Even after, it kept looking for updates at every click and then had to update the remote, I finally made to the home screen of FireTv. That's ok though, I set mine to power on to last input so I don't ever have to see FireTv again it's that bad IMO.

I know Rtings scores the HDR brightness higher on the C4 than the Z85, but in my room, it's more than bright enough to burn your retinas. Other than brightness scores, both the Z85 and C4 trade blows tit for tat and you can't go wrong with either set IMO. The only thing holding back the Z85, is FireTV but that's easily rectifiable once you have an Apple Tv or Google TV box plugged into it.

Dude, just got mine too (albeit a 55"), and concur with everything you stated! I've got mine connected to a BuzzTV U5 box with TiviMate running and the picture is incredible and plenty bright enough for my small'ish living room. Hard to believe this tv was $744 with tax! I paid around $1500 for a Sammy LED around 5 years ago and this tv blows it off it's stand!!! I'm very happy... 😊🤙

I didn't bother getting one. If I had pushed for more CB supplemental paybacks I would view this as somewhat of a "disposable." Never a concern with my sub-1000 LG C8PUA which my mom is now "rocking" as her hand-me-down. Once I mounted this and saw no dead pixels I expect it to be fine for years. I don't use game consoles - nor do I leave a single source on for hours at a time - so I have no concerns about the supposedly dreaded "burn in" - I've heard cautionary tales about that for decades - I think plasma screens came with the same concern. There was tech built in to the 2018 model still going strong at my mom's house. Why worry unless you've spent thousands?

I think the shipping speed varies due to their arrangement with Fedex. I live in the same State as their distribution center - ordered in the middle of the night on a Saturday and the box was on my doorstep by Monday afternoon. lots of variability that don't compare favorably to places like Amazon. Doesn't mean you'll get a bad product.

Not saying it's a bad product. Just calling out buy digs customer support and checking to see if this is a one off. My order doesn't even have a tracking number yet. All I have is an order number, so I doubt it has even shipped yet. The other issue is the support. I've sent an email to them and am yet to hear back.

I just got off the phone with buydig and they said that my order was not completed, and I should order again. My theory is that they sold more of these than they had in inventory. I wonder if your issue is the same. I have an order number so not sure how it was not completed.*Update* I called again and they said they would honor the deal!! Just placed the order again. I'll let you all know how it goes.

Finally got through, they were waiting on new shipments and will update with tracking within 24-48hr. I learned that Beachcam and buydig are the same company?!

Yes - those two are basically the same company - this gets mentioned each time a more expensive OLED product is offered on sale from either company - major concerns that certain brands only get warranty coverage if purchased from "authorized" dealers. I saw this concern addressed on many threads related to LG OLED devices over the years.

Glad to hear they're taking care of you and honoring the price. I know that should be expected since the error and delays are on their end, but unfortunately that's not always the case. Amazon has become less consumer friendly over the years and I've seen similar situations in which they may have offered a $20 gift card or something almost meaningless along those lines.
