Fixed the link with the 9500 with the mic & made a separate thread for the 9600MB I had my wires crossed

bought it long long time ago, still think SHP9500 is the best one under 200 bucks. Much comfortable even wearing long time.

I use these with a vmoda boom mic for xbox and PlayStation and it is stellar but you have to not mind being tethered to the controller.

I have both the SHP9500 and the SHP9600, and they're both great. Not much of a difference between them other than the 9600 is a bit newer and nicer.
Like the dude above me, I also use these headphones with the Vmoda Boom Mic and it's great.

Just adding my agreement to this. My wife and I both have a pair we've been using for 6-7 years with the same boom mic. I put Brainwavz earpads on them and it makes it even more comfortable. Depending on what you're going for, to me it lost a little of the airy, open sound stage that made music sound amazing at this price point but it brought out more of the bass in it too so there's a tradeoff. If you're using solely for gaming then it's a non-issue in my book. We use ours primarily for gaming now and they're great for that.
