Why would the MSRP of 6 cup (259.99) be higher than 10 cup(199.99) version?

Because of the size. Some people prefer their counter tops to be manageable. 6 cups are usually more popular and fits a family of 4 perfectly.

Instapots can be more versatile as it has the stainless steel inner pot. However, this Cuckoo is more specialized for rice cooking. Although you can, technically use it for other food types similar to Instapot, it's probably not recommended. This brand is one of, if not, the most popular brand in South Korea.

This is a great deal on this model. Ive used this very one for 4+ years before giving it to my sister in law and upgrading to a 10 cup version of a different much higher class model.

I have this model. It makes great rice. The hinge opens too powerfully so you have to catch it with your hand as you open it.

I'm tempted to get rid of my Instant Pot and buy this (or something similar). I only use the Instant Pot for rice and hard boiling eggs anyway.

Has anyone made that same swap and regretted it? The instant pot makes serviceable brown rice but not fantastic… and it is kind of a pain to clean and let dry out. The cook time of ~20m is nice though.

For rice cooker, they are one of the best. Be sure to use the measuring cup and follow the water line in the pot.

I highly recommend this brand's pressure rice cooker. Have been using another model for over a year, very happy with it.

We have a fancy rice cooker (Zoji) but also keep the instant pot since it has many other uses.. Might be worth keeping both if you can.

Once you cook rice in a specialized rice cooker you'll never go back to IP

Yeah, to be clear here, this is not a pressure cooker replacement, if you are thinking like Instant Pot recipes. This is for making rice in various ways. Normal, porridge style, etc. And for that, it is an incredible piece of gear at a nice price.

Two different tools that do different things - but do overlap a fair amount. We have both for that reason.
