Zorjirushi can only cook white rice and brown at most. This can cook rice with beans and porridge. It is more versatile.

Zojirushi as a setting for steel cut oatmeal. We use ours daily with the timer to have oatmeal ready before we wake up, and rice in the evening.

Yes, that is true. However, If you are going to buy regular Cukcoo, You can just buy instapot for cheaper price. The outcome will be the same at cheaper price.
Induction Heating technology is what you pay extra money for Cuckoo.

I thought cukcoo is like Zoji where they specialize in making rice? IP can cook rice but doesn't specialize in that

As you can see from the pictures on this product, this one heats only the base of the pot where as Induction heating heats entire pot for even rice cooking throughout. That is why induction heating version is more expensive and Cuckoo is known for. This one is just a product form Cuckoo to compete with Instapot because there was too big of price difference of under $100 instapot and >$300 Cuckoo induction heating rice cooker.
I mean if you want to buy this one I am not going to stop anyone. I am just telling the truth because most people does not know the difference.

I'm always curious about this.

So the induction coils go up the sides of the pot?

technology supposed to have induction coils at least covering lower side of the pot so that it creates vortex effect on the water in the pot making even cooking on rice.

Looks like the coils are at the bottom and it heats the bottom of the pot.

According to zojiruishi, induction gives better temp control. No mention of better even heating.

Search Youtube for Panasonic - Rice and Multi Cookers - Feature - Induction Heating Rice Cooker Technology https://youtu.be/2ZdM-IYUa2I?si=aRdSnCoNsxhd3dVz
You can pretty much see there are 5 layers of coil covering bottom side and top
The manufacturers don't want you to know this when selling this cheaper versions. I mean I might be exaggerating it is basically instapot with cuckoo covering. Maybe it is good for $150 range but $260 is just unjustifiable considering technology behind it. Induction heating rice cookers rarely come below $200 range. I think they had cuckoo IH version on sale on Target, but all orders were cancelled becuase they know this is not the item to sell for sub $100.

There are higher end Zojurushi that can do a lot of things including cakes, steaming, oatmeal... One thing that I don't think I've seen on a Zojirushi that Cuckoo has sometimes is tahdig. Rice that is crispy on the bottom.
Zojirushi makes top of the line Japanese rice cookers.
Cuckoo makes top of the like Korean rice cookers.
There's a german company Reishunger that has one that sounds promising for a more budget option.
