Bought a corsair pre-built a few years back with a 4090 for about this price. I'd say in today's market that's a solid deal

This is cheaper on HP.com, using the 20% off coupon. Ordered one last night I think it was low $3800s before tax
Can confirm, comes out to $3,815.99 before tax with 20% coupon (LEVELUP20) direct on hp.com.

I was only able to get it down to $3912. How did you get $3816?

I've been trying for a few weeks now, stopping by the store (its on my way home from work) for them to check the sku number and no dice. The 5080 FE seems to be in stock and order able, though I would say that is regional.
Yes, from Falcondrin Discord server winners channel by JakeRadden on 6/13/25 11:45 am ET,
1) Call Best Buy store phone #
2) Help with existing order
3) Please help me place an order for SKU 6614151 (5090FE) or 6614153 (5080FE)
4) Please look nationwide, I'm fine with either shipping or in-store pickup

RAM is pretty bad, especially for complementing a 5090, and the processor, while certainly not a bottleneck for the 5090, does leave something to be desired to be paired with it. The rest of the parts are likely to be bottom-barrel stuff at best and proprietary at worst as well. Considering that the market for 5090 has been cooling significantly, this is probably really only worth buying if you are adamant against hunting a bit for deals and building one yourself.

Motherboard is proprietary (HP custom X870) - upgrade limitations, HP-specific BIOS, and often less control.

Might be worth it if you have a workload that NEEDS an intel processor

LOL. 3rd party pc maker, it's in the name. Cyber power and iBuyPower use generic parts, from different MFRs where you run into quality and compatibility issues. Compared to the 1st party MFRs (HP, Dell, Lenovo) build and test their machines from the ground up which creates better compatibility.
I'm guessing you are being sarcastic. Off the shelf (generic) parts are usually better than proprietary. Proprietary parts are often designed cut as many corners as possible. HP, Dell usually have gimped locked down motherboards. Many parts are difficult to replace because of funky non-standard design. I've owned HP, and Dell desktops. They had proprietary parts that made upgrades and repairs difficult. Not sure of what you mean "better compatibility".
