I added Backlit Keyboard to my choice before adding to cart, and the coupon still applied.

Don't recommend buying these refurbished Dell laptops. I bought one with cosmetic grade A and they sent me one with a malfunction mother board. I sent it back for a refund.

I bought this last week. It's motherboard was defective so no audio device was found and upgrade to Windows 11 failed several times in row. Wasted 3 nights with Dell Tech support trying to get these two issues fixed!

Nevermind the fact that it can be hard to detect subtle motherboard issues - can take weeks before they arise. These are almost all out of lease junk. This is their last attempt at squeezing value out of garbage. Unless it is pristine when you open the box I would try to find any reason to send it back.

/Bought 4, had 2 malfunctioning, and 2 dead batteries.

I've ordered several refurb laptops and desktops from Dell over the years and almost always had good luck with them. The only time I've had any issue was with one I ordered last year advertised in grade A condition, but the one I received had a few small dents, sticker residue, a usb-c port didn't work, and the remaining battery capacity was only at 53%. Support was pretty quick to replace it though after I sent pictures and such. The one I got in exchange was in great shape and has been working fine with no issues (*knock on wood*).

Beware!! Code does not work. Although it will show it in the cart, the final cost charged is full price. Dell CS confirmed this.

I got one on the last deal. Cosmetically and hardware wise as expected. The battery only had 50% capacity and after calling they are giving me a $50 credit which I think is fair and reasonable. I also had a Amex dell credit to use and we'll be getting money back from Capital One shopping portal rebate. So for the price for me it was right and is a fast computer. It comes with Windows 10 and windows has not given me the Windows update option to update to 11. I assume it will just show up one day.

amex dell deal only applies for purchase at dell dot com, not on dell refurbished site. The purchase fine print clearly states that.

I've bought 4 laptops and 5 PCs for myself and family while purchasing over 30 PCs for a business all from the refurbished section of Dell. Only one came damaged which was no hassle to return and get another one. I recommend Dell refurbs to anyone looking for a deal.

Dell's "refurbished" is more like "Garage Sale roulette". You might get something totally fine, or you might get a "spit shine" refurb that's more spit than shine.

Buyer beware.

Absolutely agree.
On top of this, the Latitude 5420 has a lot of problems - see other threads about Dell Refurbished or search for people discussing those problems. IT folks who manage hundreds to thousands of these have said they encounter a far higher incidence of problems with this model.

Plus, Dellrefurbished is shipping a lot of garbage, including computers marked as "A" which obviously were not even opened up - people have received them with all sorts of problems that are revealed simply by opening the back, caked up fans, etc.

Yes, I did that and it showed the discounted price when I checked out. When I check my card statement, I was charged full price. I cancelled my order.
