My first knife, my dad bought me was a Chria Reeves Sebenza 21.
I have since collected many high end knives. This knife just feels cheap. It wobbles half deployed. It does have a really nice sharp blade.
It's no better than my son's many Civivi knives. I'm not a complete knife snob, I just prefer and spend money on quality that makes me smile. But the Spyderco Para 3 Maxamet (C223GPDGY) I gifted my daughter (I carried it for a week first) was a much nicer knife. I'm still waiting on a deal to get this knife for myself.
I honestly don't get the Benchmade hype. Maybe I need to try another model?

They've gotten greedy and complacent.
Quality and quality control have gone down while prices have gone up.
I went a few years back to replace a 2550 mini reflex auto I had lost and what my local dealer had was shameful. I couldn't adjust the pivot to get the knife to deploy without meaningful blade play. Even the dealer admitted it shouldn't have passed QC.
I went with microtech instead. It was about the same price for better build quality and great customer service as well.
