Rise is the perfect game to get into monster hunter. It's faster than other entries and will be easier to pickup. It also runs well on switch/switch2 (but locked to 30 fps I think). I played this on Xbox /PC as my first game and had a blast completing it

May have to snatch this up for the Switch 2… tried World years ago and had a hard time getting into it. Sounds like this one is more streamlined.

I still think that Rise/Sunbreak are the current peak of the series. Almost nothing impeding you from starting a fresh game and hopping in a hunt with some buds and getting all the way to the end of the story together. Wilds puts so much in your way to just enjoying the progression of the hunts with friends, haha.
