this brand is weird. The same sesame oil, large size bottle is produced in Japan and smaller size is from Taiwan. Not strong flavor but okay.

I have this brand and like it. As far as I know this sesame oil is shelf stable after opening.

The 16oz can I got a few months back is from TW. Haven't tried it yet, still using up some old stuff. I plan on rebottling it into a small glass bottle as I've seen complaints about dripping/spillage from the can.

if you have an Indian grocery market near you, a 16oz bottle of sesame oil will cost around $1.99

From Americas Test Kitchen:
Tasters reported that this oil had "delicate, elegant, toasted sesame flavor." It was "light, almost sweet, buttery," and "mild, creamy and rich." "I'm missing some toasted flavor," one taster noted.

Was less than $5.50 a couple months ago. Cheaper still a little earlier, iirc.

When and where?! I doubt it. I got 1L (~33 oz) for about 10 bucks recently. 1/2L would be about 5-6 bucks.....or more depending on where you live....

MAHA is some kind of stupid. Thinking tallow is healthier than olive and avocado oils lol.

Evolution at work!

I seriously doubt that even Indian grocery stores have genuine sesame oil that cheap.

The best sesame oil I have tried between this one, another brand, and Kadoya Sesame Oil, is the Kadoya Sesame Oil, 22.10 Fl Oz. Amazing taste and keeps well over time.
