The one case I see for this product is it has a grinder and if that grinder is decent or better, it could be a high value low cost full espresso machine . Typically the strategies to not get it all in one get the selected espresso machine and then separately get the specific grinder you want otherwise you run all kinds of problems. For example, you find you like that espresso machine part, but don't like the integrating grinder awkward. Or the espresso machine part breaks and so you have a grinder with no espresso machine. And Costco has a good return policy. So if you're really driven to get this deal, you could test it out and take it back if it's simply didn't make a coffee.

Also I didn't know this one was more automated than that . I will look for the manual and read what this thing does for reference even though I'm really happy with what I have.
