I read the title and thought this was a 60L hydration pack. Only 130lbs. Easy peasy. /s

EDIT to add: The post above states max 19" torso length, but that's for the women's pack. The men's pack goes up to 21", which should be tall enough unless you're 6'3" or more. But body proportions vary, so if you're tall, check for fit before you take off the tags.
Slick deal, BUT, maximum 19" torso length means it probably won't fit if you're 6' tall or over.

Backpacks should be tall enough that the shoulder straps don't rest on your shoulders. All the weight should rest on your hips via the waist belt. The shoulder straps should start out high enough that they only touch your upper chest, to keep the pack from tipping backward. That's what the "load lifter" straps on top of the shoulder straps are for...to pull the top of the shoulder straps high enough to not rest on your shoulders.

If you buy a backpack that's too short, it's impossible to get the shoulder straps high enough, and you will carry weight on your shoulders no matter how tightly you cinch the waist belt. Then you will hate backpacking.

Backpacking in Europe this summer. Would this qualify as a personal item on Air France? Or too big?

In my limited experience Air France is not super picky, but this is probably too big for a carryon, let alone a "personal item". The Farpoint might be a better choice (but still too large for a personal item while not letting you pack everything for a long trip)

No way. Carry on if it's not full.

You can also look up the measurements...

Anyone have this? I'm in the market for a bag, was thinking of a 50L for short overnight/weekend hikes but this might be worth picking up. I'd rather get backpack from a known commodity than an unknown Amazon bag if it's worthwhile for a bit more.

No doubt get this one. REI has a great warranty also. $300 for a branded (Osprey, others).

The deal post says maximum 19" torso length, but apparently that's for the women's version. The men's version goes up to 21". I've edited my post. Thanks!
