I bought this one for the same price on last black Friday and it works great. I used it on my rav4, sonata and civic. It can fill up the air on 4 tires without issues. Gets a little bit hot and loud if inside the garage but over all, I like it.

I see a lot of "verified buyers" with 5 stars?
FWIW, I'm a reviewer for Lowes under their Loop program. Never recall this item being offered in exchange for a review, but all Loop reviews are labeled accordingly. They dont hide it, at least.

Which reviews are you reading? Just the negative ones? 4.3 over 5.0. I'm in.

It overheats in a garage? I was considering getting it to keep in the car. But inside car temperatures are well over 90 and 100 most times of year here.

I used one of these last winter when one of my ATV tires had a slow leak. I found that inflating one tire from 1 to 8 PSI ran through about 1/3 of the battery reserve. Otherwise I've been happy with it, as it's light and compact.

Plenty of bs promotional 5* reviews. The comments on the youtube reviews were loaded with failures, multiple units with the same individuals as well.

Nah, I think he means it gets loud in the garage and it gets hot anywhere you use it. I don't have this unit or any battery powered version but I have a plug in lighter 12v inflator and the hose got so hot airing up 4 tires running a few minutes for each one that I almost burned by fingers unscrewing the hose. I'm not sure why. Haven't looked it up. When you use the tire inflation pumps at the gas station they don't get hot.

Gas station pumps don't get hot because the compressor is about 10 times larger than the one in this Craftsman, so it's running at a lower speed, generating less heat.

So, they all get super hot because they don't have any cooling via a fan or heat sink?

I don't know if they have no cooling, but not enough cooling. There is only so much room in something that small.

Or that cheap. My Mac Mini (5"x5"x2"), roughly the same size, has a fan, tho it never runs. LOL. All I know is mine got so hot that I would expect certain plastics to melt. I had to administer first aid to the burn. I learned my lesson!
