I've had horrible luck with the Google TV OS. I have a Hisense U7N, and Google TV is borderline unusable. It constantly crashes and restarts the OS, to the point that I've started just using a Roku instead of the TV's OS.The TV never has any issue at all with any device attached to it. Consoles, streaming boxes, etc. It is very specifically the Google TV OS that seems extremely unstable.

Still $100 more. Luckily caught the TCL Q7 last night at $550 though it is currently $600 but has local dimming, assuming open box isn't desired or available.

The 2025 miniLED lineup of QD (especially the QD7) is far superior and for only a couple of hundred bucks you can start your drooling experience at a much faster rate (IMHO)! Look up the specs of the NEW 2025 QD7 and compare that to the previous year.

I was blown away by the QD7 (at 75'')! The specs/price make this a real value! The FireTV OS has been solid so far.Snappy and no issues so far!

I got a qd5. Zero problem with the built in google os. And have been using daily for almost a year. You got a dud.

I was just looking at this on the Best Buy website seeing how the 2025 has mini LED. But I'm only seeing Fire TV OS. Do you know if the 2025 is offered with Google TV OS?

It does not. But I can tell you that FireTV is another great choice! My family has two Hisense TV units (one being the QD7 miniLED 2025 version) and both run FireTV and the feedback has been great! But if this somehow isn't something you're willing to put up with, you can always use a streaming device of your choice. But again, FireTV has been great so far! I seldom get excited about TV's to be honest ( I see a whole lot of people splitting hairs over these things) but this new QD7 miniLED impressed the hell outta me (price/image/features)!
