I was able to get it for $1.98 with maximum subscribe and save. I give it half a thumbs up though, as they recently changed the recipe. Been eating these cookies since I was a kid. Unfortunately they taste like sawdust now, and when you dunk them in milk they don't get soft anymore and soak up the milk. I said I would never buy these ever again unless they switched back to the original recipe, damn you slickdeals!

I have no problem getting them to absorb milk.

Only order the red chewy bag if you buy from amazon otherwise all you will get are crumbs.

It's been a while since I've had chips ahoy; they were also my go-to as a kid. If you haven't tried it, I would put out there that the reduced fat is (was?) actually the superior version for use with milk.

Would love to buy these, unfortunately Amazon will undoubtedly pack them in the same box as our 2 gallons of Tide. Tired of fighting with them to get refunds on destroyed products.

Unfortunately, it takes much longer than three minutes (in my experience, at least), it's aggravating because the rep starts with some garbage like they're not allowed to refund on food purchases and acts like they're doing you a favor by issuing a refund, and you still end up with fookin crumbs.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed the recipe change, they taste awful now, used to be able to eat half a package in one sitting. Now can barely eat one.

Please call and complain about the new recipe like I did. It will help get back the old recipe. I believe they are not selling well, hence the big discounts.
