Kindle?
Apple Books?
Google Play?
Kobo?
Barnes and Noble?
Please explain why.
(I would greatly appreciate it)
I'm more interested in feature differences, pros/cons, etc. Of both the reading experience and the platforms.
- Text to voice
- Audiobook syncing
- Discounts / Promotions
- Better viewing, searching, reading experience.
I understand being frustrated giving more money to Amazon, or Apple, or Google, etc. I don't want to either.
I also don't want to get spread too thin between different platforms.
Amazon Kindle is easy for me because I'm a prime memeber, I also use Audible, so the fact that books can sync between Kindle and Audible is helpful.
Plus every time I choose slow shipping on Amazon, I get free credits to buy digital books.
But... I'd love to know if Apple, Google, Kobo, or BN have some unique feature or benefit.
I have also learned how to listen to Kindle books with Text to speech, so I don't have to buy the Audible version. The iOS ai voice is good, but not great. Audible with an actor or the author is far better, but many Audible books I have paid for a very bland/boring, and no better than text to speech.
I'm curious if the other platforms have text to speech? If so, how good is it?
Thank you for any information, feedback, and suggestions.
I sincerely appreciate anyone who takes the time. 🙏

I also have Libby. Do you use their app to read? Or do you use the feature that lets you read the library books in the Kindle app?
