Is this better than Lodge or basically same?

In Consumer Reports recent tests on cast iron frying pans, the USA made Lodge beat out the Colombian made Victoria. The scores were close 77 to 74, respectively — but the Lodge also received CR Recommended and CR Smart Buy accolades.

I like both but Victoria are slightly lighter and I think the preseasoning is smoother and better as well. Also the handles are longer on the Victoria.

That being said, a 6" is nearly useless. An 8" is only good for one grilled cheese sandwich or half of a pack of breakfast links to put it into perspective.

I have both Lodge and Victoria pans along with other cast iron pieces. The Lodge pans are a bit rougher while the Victoria pans are smoother. I like both but I think they have different uses depending.
