It doesn't actually state carbon fiber in it's description however a desktop this size would cost approximately $35,000 in materials with the most basic carbon fiber application.

carbon fiber is not that expensive. would make it a 500$ desk if was real.

A piece of CF the size of this desk would run about $250-$300 for a 4mm - 6mm thick sheet. to just get to the thickness of this desk, you'd likely need between 5 - 7 sheets, putting the cost of the materials alone at $1250 - $2100. Keep in mind, this is just the cost of the surface of the desk, but all materials, including time spent, adhesive or apoxy to adhere the sheets together, the desk frame and miscellaneous screws and such, if this were made of actual CF, you'd realistically be looking at $1500+ on the low end.
