I went with Govee WiFi Hygrometer 3 sensors. It's been working great for the last 3 months. My deep freezer is in the detached garage and the main sensor is in the house 20 ft away. Always has signal and loads up within 15 seconds. It covers temps from -18 and up for me at this moment. I recommend them highly.
Wish these were the outdoor ones though, or that they would have a higher contrast screen for inside

I have one of these in a freezer and it's working fine. Though I'm using the Hygrometers in my other two freezers because I think they're supposed to be better for colder temperatures and batteries last longer. I guess I'll see in a few months/years? if that is the case.

When requesting permission to access nearby Wi-Fi devices, older versions of Android require "ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION" permission. Android 13 finally came out with the "NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES" permission with an optional "neverForLocation" flag, but if an app developer wants their app to be able to run on older phones (or they're just used to making apps the old way and haven't changed their ways), they'll still request location permissions for Wi-Fi.

While this might be true for you it's not generally true. I have five of these. Two refrigerators/freezers and a chest freezer. They work perfectly in all cases. Battery life is unbelievable even in the cold.
Really stupid design, highly not recommend!
It depends on your use case. If you need higher increments then yeah, this is not your product, but for things that need to be monitored over the long term they are an outstanding product.
