It's 5120x1440, not 3440x1440. The pixel count is 7.4 million vs 8.3 million in 4k. 3440x1440 is about 4.95 million.

This monitor is significantly closer to the pixel count of a 4k screen.

"5120 x 1440 = 5,836,800‬"

This is incorrect. 5120 x 1440 = 7,372,800

I ran mine off a 3080 for a long time. Now I use a 7800xt, also works just fine.

It's basically dual 1440p monitors

This isn't even 4k, its 1440p resolution. A 1070 can run older games maxed out on this. Gonna need a 3070 or 3080 for more demanding games

Ya people don't realize 5120x1440 is less pixel than 4k...
You can try to guess the fps difference:

5120 x 1440 = 5,836,800‬
1920 x 1080 = 2,073,600‬ (1080p)
2560 x 1440 = 3,686,400 (1440p)
3840 x 2160 = 8,294,400 (4k)

No one can recommend a GPU because it all depends on what you're ok with turning down and what fps are you confortable with...
Remember that you can go down to 3840x1080p on heavier games and/or even go for higher settings due to lower res (For example, some people like 1080p HIGH more than 1440p MEDIUM...slightly more blurry but more effects etc).

I'm ok with single player been 60fps if I can get 4k MAXED (Genres like Survival Horror benefits from stuff like high shadow, maxed textures, motion blur, etc...if its implemented right).
Multiplayer I turn off most of the stuff to hit at least 100fps, I can tell if I go under 100 but I honestly can't tell above that like I play 4k 180fps but don't notice the dips to 120fps.

I am mostly going to use it for Work. I wonder if anyone has it. Want to know how the window sizing is and how is the text clarity on this. My local best buy has an open box for cheap. I might take that with the total plus membership for warranty

I have this, outside of having to turn your head, this is perfect for work. No issue whatsoever with window sizing or text clarity, honestly two of the things I actually look forward to more whenever I work from home versus using the monitors in my office (which are pretty good widescreen monitors themselves).

I had a non-led one of these and returned it. I got it to split screens for my programming classes I'm taking, but found out you can't maximize a video in only one side of a split screen. It has to take up the whole screen. I returned it and got an LG 34" ultrawide OLED and used an old monitor as a second screen in a portrait set up. I will say that the black levels are absolutely amazing on this.

If you're sensitive to the text fringing that comes with all OLED's , then no. The size is amazing for spreadsheetes though.

Terrible, actually. I hated using it for work. Text/cells are very fuzzy. If you're coming from a 4K monitor, you're gonna absolutely hate using this.

I use the Picture by Picture mode all the time (basically 2 16:9 next to each other or 3440 + a slim screen) and it lets me full screen 1 side no problem. You need to have multiple inputs from the PC to the monitor, (2 HDMI/display ports)
