I am in the process of phasing these out. They are slow and a huge headache for me and my kids. The 32gb version is basically e-waste

They have their place. The Fire 8 with 3g ram was perfect for my son. Not too heavy and works just fine for most games and streaming with Google play side loaded and an SD card. Even has a headphone jack which is sorely missed on newer tablets. I agree the 2g ram models are garbage.

Only 3GB ram - will be slow

I have Samsung A9+ for my daughter. Grab it when it's on slickdeals. Great tablet for kids. I can't afford or justify an iPad for her. I also can't afford an iPad for me, but such is life. I bought the kid edition Crayola case separately also on slickdaels. Good luck.

I use my Fire 10 tablet a lot and it works great for me, watching Xfinity while I cook supper.
