Can't you just buy the fresh refrigerated coconut milk that is in the 1/2 gallon container? It costs $2.79 at Kroger, and it's organic.
Can you show/share the link? I cook a lot of Thai food, and coconut milk is always so expensive. Not sure if this is the same as canned coconut milk. For cooking, it has to be thick and creamy (like buttermilk)

In my experience the Chaokoh brand is the best tasting coconut milk.
True. But they got into hot water a few years ago for using monkey labor. If you're from South East Asia, this is pretty common but the PETA movement got a huge boycott going. They were once sold at Costco as well.... So sad.
