I don't care what you say, chunk light is the best.
Low mercury, strong umami flavor.
Way better than the more expensive tuna varieties like albacore and yellowfin.

Should there be tax on canned tuna in Kansas? I don't live there but I wanted to send to a friend and it's trying to collect .46 tax.

on the 1st the 20% coupon magically re-appeared after not seeing it for awhile having used it in the past

so I used it on 48 pack which also qualified

then a 15% coupon appeared which is also good on the 24/48

To each their own, but the tuna looks nutritionally superior in terms of calories and protein /oz. And there's the convenience factor of individual servings of the tuna. But, to be fair, the Mackerel does like a good deal.

Tuna is leaner, but fish oil is very good for you.

I'd say overall, mackerel is healthier. Lower mercury, higher in healthy omega 3 fatty acids.

If you are restricting calories, yeah, tuna is lower calorie.

For those with focus, commitment and sheer will, the 48 pack looks to be a bit cheaper per can than the 24 pack āœŒļøšŸ˜€ https://a.co/d/2VRluuH

Skip jack is trash, I would avoid this.

Go right ahead. I will never understand folks such as yourself, who I assume can read the title, then come into threads like this just to superficially say how bad the product is and to sh!t on it. You don't give any explanations as to how or why it's trash, then proceed to recommend to avoid it, again with no explanation as to why to avoid it. Weird behavior.

Little doubt that mackerel is healthier. Seems that nearly all brands are packed in olive oil with the exception of Chicken of the Sea..though buying 12, 15 oz cans is a heck of a lot of fish, LOL

Do urself a favor and get the bulk chub mackerel instead of tuna.
There's a massive difference in taste/smell comparing tuna and mackerel, especially when using in recipes. Even the super fresh mackerel we get in Japan is very fishy tasting, but that's what it is known for. Although I like all of the mackerel variants I've tasted, I still prefer tuna. woot

Fyi cheap mackerel is mostly sourced from China these days. I prefer other countries, when available. Looks like they purposefully avoid showing that part of the cans on amazon.

Interesting..after reading reviews it appears most buyers use it for pet food. Personally I like the flavor of tuna but only eat it periodically
