Olight makes some quality torches but I dislike their proprietary charging. Do these use the same proprietary charger?

Yes look at the pictures on the Olight web site, it uses the magnetic charging system.

It does, but you're better off using an external charger to charge the 18350 anyways. You can also keep a couple on hand, so you've got a freshly charged battery at all times.

FC11C I think will have longer runtime because of bigger battery, high CRI (correct color rendering, i.e. when your light is out while you're cooking pizza, high CRI can help you make your pizza look correct and appetizing).
