ebay is complete TRASH. Every seller lists random items together to circumvent the sorting of prices. Everything you want will be a range of prices which essentially wastes your time. Never buy from eBay since sellers wants to waste your time and eBay refuses to resolve this issue.

Selling on eBay sucks with all the fees. A volume seller can make money, but an individual seller loses 20-30% in fees.

Every seller is a bit of an exaggeration, but it is really rampant. There really needs to be a browser addon that can remove listings within a search that have large price variances for listings with multiple items via the drop-down. That or actually eBay could properly moderate users from doing search manipulation.

Either way the sale is a dud anyways since it's just for approved sellers... Miss the old days of sitewide 10-15% off.

The government really helped killed ebay. Between the 1099 tax mess for sellers (used to be $20k min, now $600) and paying taxes (buyers) on all orders, it just lost it's mojo.
Agreed. I stopped actively selling on ebay for this exact reason.

eBay, amongst many other peer-to-peer marketplaces offers buyer's purchase protection.

I found a decent deal and purchased the Sony WH1000XM4 black headphones: after 20% off, it is $238.40 with US Warranty from BuyDig, an authorized US Sony Dealer. I get free shipping but need to pay shipping if returning it.

There are lower prices for the International version (no US warranty) from other sellers, and lower prices from private eBay sellers that you would worry if the the headphones are fake.

He's right though. eBay is trash, especially for sellers. The fees increase every year and the buyer is always favored in a dispute.

Was able to pick up a good condition & unlocked 1TB Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra for $699 with this promo. Definitely some steals in there.

For everyday, mass-produced items, eBay sucks. For hard to find parts, vintage items, etc... eBay is by far one of the best site to find things of that nature.

I disagree, sure, fees suck, but where else can I get worldwide reach on the things I am reselling?

20-30%? How. I see around 10-12% percent on my account.

Had refurbished Sony WH-CH720N headphones in my cart from Buydig @ $47 yesterday. Seller changed price to $87 today with a note on the listing to "Save $17 with coupon." 🙄😂

Was hoping to get a refurb Dyson V15 with 2-yr warranty, but they inflated all the prices… guess I'm waiting.
