I got the Prime day deal which had it at something like $159 for the 50 in and it punches outside of the MSRP . however, Hisense... so I may have won the panel lottery. there is almost no motion blur... I wonder if it's because of amazon software vs hisense trying to get android to behave

Make sure to buy 3 for when they inevitably break. It will be the same price as getting a nice LG OLED.

They definitely seem to be the buggiest I have owned. First was it would enable soap opera effect but display as it was disabled. The most recent has been horizontal lines appearing on startup. Bought an LG CX the same time and it's been rock solid.

Yeah Hisense makes a decent panel and nothing else. I babied my u8h and the backlighting is already separated from the middle, but you can't tell if hdr is on.
I've thought the tv was dead twice, tons of weird issues like immediately after purchasing it, then I turned off the wifi and it was pretty much perfect after that. 4k@120hz HDR on it absolutely rocks, especially for video games, but I can't recommend the brand in any capacity. 2 years and it starts failing and a 2 year warranty, man they know what they're doing making crappy sets.
Still feel less bad than if I were to have burn in on my precious oled.
