Why do they show this as a 2.5" drive?

So they can show the "frequently returned item" warning later... which means nothing at this point since we don't know if it was a listing error sometime and everyone made a return when there was nothing wrong with the product. Always funny to see that line when it contradicts its rating.

Seriously I had to do a double-take at the title... I was like whoaaaaa 2.5" drives are now 14TB that's awesome I'll have to get one soon... but nope, not the case. That's for your comment I would have thought otherwise

The photos on the Amazon page are accurate. Also, no indication that this item is frequently returned. Lowest price since 2022 per the camel.

The general answer would be yes BUT do you have one of the new Syno's with the drive restrictions? If the answer is no then these should work for you. To that if you're just looking for 4 drives this is a good option but if you start to scale beyond that you can buy refurbs from ebay (specifically the seller goHardDrive). The refurbs are enterprise grade drives that have been decommissioned from servers and the seller warranty's them for another 5 years. I have a 15 bay server I'm running these in. I say this because if you shuck these you basically void the warranty and the refurbs are going to be cheaper than these and at least guaranteed for 5 years verses the shucked drives that you might get 5 years if you're lucky.
On occasion these refurbs go on sale. The last time I ordered these they were on sale for $110

Must have been a glitch, yesterday the pictures showed it as a portable hard drive. I even ordered it and it arrived at the AC power hard drive. They even updated the pictures on Amazon, to be different than the ones the link auto uploaded what they had yesterday which is showing in this post.
