You can save another 20% with a trade in. I have several old, out of date Kindles on my account that I use as trade-ins on these items. They only value the Kindles at $5.00 but the real value is the 20% off coupon which would bring the price down to $80.

For free you can only view live video. Costs $10/month to record video on motion, capture snapshots at intervals, and get all the features you use a security camera for. Honestly I love my Ring Alarm system and 8 outdoor cameras that I've had since 2018. The app interface is excellent. I get alerts for motion instantly with a short preview of the event in the notification. The alarm system is rock solid. It actually surprises me how well it all works when tech usually has so many bugs. Discount available for buying a year subscription instead of monthly and they have a couple of different tiers for self-monitored vs professional monitoring that calls police for you. Self-monitored is enough for me.

For American buyers, the Ring system is much better than mainland China owned brands like Eufy. Ring network works extremely well and I have never had it fail in 7 years of use. In addition they have superior engineering and quality control- I have 4 Ring cameras that have all been working for 7 years without any problems. You can set off an alarm or talk to someone through the cameras. I have used them to scare away deer in my yard frequently. The Eufy has really poor security, and it may be compromised by well known mainland China hackers. The Ring monitoring is great- very inexpensive and the multi-camera plan is very reasonable if you have a lot of cameras and especially if you have a Ring alarm. It is worth the peace of mind for a small cost to have the Ring monitoring. In addition you get neighborhood alerts that have valuable information from other Ring owners. For Americans, the Ring is the best choice.

You can purchase for now. If cheaper at prime day, you purchase that and return this.

Stay away from this obsolete product. I used to have it and regret it. Its notification is delayed, and its recording is so blurry. Don't expect anything much from 2mp. It cannot even read license plate. It doesn't have any alarm to deter porch pirates. Also you need to pay subscription for recording videos. I quit Ring paywall couple years ago.

For another $15, you can get Eufy S3 from Costco store which beat this camera on every aspects.

This is 4 years old tech, which doesn't have much upgrade from 6 years old tech ago. You can find better products with same price range without paywall subscription

I've not been very impressed with mine outside my garage the past few years. The glass lense popped off and broke on my driveway, the video quality is low, it often misses motion, etc.

Looking to add cameras to the house. Was thinking of Ring as I have their alarm system. Can you please elaborate on how the "without paywall subscription" part works? Thanks in advance.

Other companies like eufy don't need subscription. But if you have their alarm already and plan to keep it. Then this is still probably better

I have had the professional monitoring for almost 5 years with Ring now.
